Just a reminder:
Big Boy wrote:Yes, Hua Hin City are at home to SAMUT SAKHON on the 17th May. Kick off is at 16:00, so allowing for crowd congestion, you need to arrive by 16:00  .

Seriously, 5 minutes before is fine. Home fans sit on the left as you approach the grandstand.
Vana Nava Hua Hin City are currently in 2nd place in the league, just one point behind the leaders. A win today could see us take back the top spot.

Vana Nava Hua Hin City 2 - 2 SAMUT SAKHON

Well, what can I say. Samut Sakhon (SS) parked the bus, and it was a very frustrating first hour, with rarely more than one SS player in the Hua Hin half. On about the hour mark, our brick outhouse, Lampty scored with a header from a well taken corner.

1-0 down, SS started to play football. This started to make openings for Hua Hin, but after missing 3 clear scoring opportunities on a single run, SS countered and equalised.

SS were now playing 4-3-3, and were looking more than a match for Hua Hin. It was end to end stuff, and despite Hua Hin taking the lead again (couldn't make out the scorer) SS scored the inevitable equaliser.

The whole match was quite frustrating, and for the first time, I saw disillusionment in the crowd. Many home fans left before the end. This included the ever present cheer leading section/band. We stayed until the end, but when we left, the cheer leading section was gathered around their team bus yelling abuse in Thai - I haven't got a clue what they were actually saying, but it wasn't very complimentary.

When matches end, both teams usually thank the supporters for their attendance - there were no home supporters left for them to thank today.

It was a shame. Today's game attracted the largest Farang attendance that I'd seen at a match - I can't see them returning very quickly.

What about match fixing? If it happens in the EU and UK it can surely happen here. It may actually be common given what we see in other aspects of life here. If there's a hint of that, it would just deflate foreign fans and rightfully so, but perhaps taken in stride by Thai fans. Their recourse, curse and not stay around for the end. Pete

No, I think it was probably no more than bad football.

I hope so.

FYI, you know I'm going to have to do dancing hot dogs or sad faces as well next season concerning Fulham. 8)

This has been posted on Facebook - I think they are claiming Samut Sakon's 2nd goal was the hand of Buddha.

I didn't see it, but I guess that's why the crowd were so angry.
