Can anyone tell me the fastest place to do visa runs from hua hin ? Have done ranong 3 times now but always leave at 6am and get back 7pm or later. A friend recently did a visa run somewhere else and was back by 1pm ... i didnt get details on where they went though.
Is dan singkhon open for visa runs yet ?
Fastest visa run ?
Re: Fastest visa run ?
You can type KANCHANABURI VISA RUN in "SEARCH"
You have all the details here :
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25940&hilit=kanchan ... 15#p336041
If you do the trip with you own wheels, it can be a very nice day discovering a beautiful countryside.

Re: Fastest visa run ?
Remember that as you don't actually get a visa there, it's a border run for a visa exempt stamp. Semantics.
No, Dan Sinkhorn isn't open for that.

It's not just semantics though, is it lomu? It's an important distinction that is often misunderstood. One of the problems is that many official sites seem to use visa to mean entry stamp these days...lomuamart wrote:Remember that as you don't actually get a visa there, it's a border run for a visa exempt stamp. This is the way

Re: Fastest visa run ?
I'm planning going over to Kanchanaburi some time between the 1st & 5th May for my 90day stamp..if anyone in HH needs to also go then let me know & we can split the fuel cost.
(Assuming that the border crossing is OK for Non Imm 90day stamps..?)

the squealing pig on soi 102 does a run to kanchanaburi once a week, think its about 2 or2.2k bt
Re: Fastest visa run ?
Why do you have to go anywhere for a 90 day stamp? Or do you mean a new entry stamp on a multi entry visa?usual suspect wrote:I'm planning going over to Kanchanaburi some time between the 1st & 5th May for my 90day stamp..if anyone in HH needs to also go then let me know & we can split the fuel cost.

Yes Nereus..it's an entry stamp for my Non 0 visa.
I use the Chom Beung road when I go to K'buri..nice quiet road..so kinda looking forward to a nice drive to this border-post..with not doing it before (going off West from my usual route)..I may get lost slightly, may take a longer loop somehow, but going with a mind to having a day-out..(unless the outlaws decide to tag along!)..5-5!

There is a new Streetsign just after prachuapkirkhan that says: Myanmar Immigration. I am not shure if the border crossing is already open there, but it would be worth some further investigation

There is an immigration bureau at Dan Sing Khon where you can extend you visa, get a residence cerificate, make the 90 days stamp, but the border is still closed and you cannot make a visa run.
The new border market is under construction, I think this border will open in the next months. As I live in Prachuap city, I regularly ride my bicycle to Dan Sing khon and will keep you informed.
