Every time we take our truck there for a service we get totally wrong diagnosis of any problem and frankly the service is abysmal.
It's a shame - our Colorado is a good vehicle, but because local service is so bad, it means I will never buy another one.
Generally speaking I would think an Isuzu dealer could and would service a Chevy? There's plenty of them around to choose from. Could be worth a try. Pete

I've a mate who recently took his Chevy pick-up into the HH dealer here to inquire why his oil-pressure light had come on..??
(At this point I will add the truck is 3yrs old & has a full service history by said dealership).
They told him it was a faulty sensor & not to worry..we'll order one for you..till then it's OK to keep driving your truck..mai-pen-rai...(My mate is not THAT mechanically-minded like some of us)...
Yep, you've guessed it..on his way out of HH the engine just died..!??
The chevy-folk organised a recovery truck to bring it back in to them...one day later they rang him, could not explain the fault, but told him the bill would be 38,000B! THEN, a week later they rang him again...they could not explain what had gone wrong, but told my mate the bill would NOW be 90,000B..!!
Now at this stage I advised him to do same as B.B. had to do..go straight to the top..contact Chevy-Thailand and kick up some s**t. What would you folk do in this situation..??
I guess the advice that it was only a faulty sensor was verbal advice and not written down. If that's the case, you can see them now saying it was a miscommunication or such, so that they can wriggle out of any responsibility - still worth a try though.

I doubt very much that he will have any comeback on the dealer, rightly or not.
It is also very strange that a modern car will lose all the oil without some indication. Are you sure that the car was not recently "serviced"? Or did they drain the oil and not replace it?
Even with the complete lack of oil, the engine should have started making a hell of a racket before it 'died". More to this than he is being told, but difficult to prove.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
I bought my Chevy Cololado from the Hua Hin dealer. Regular service checks so-and-so. They once forgot to refill the battery and it died on me shortly after. I have requested a list of checkpoints for the regular service checks so I could follow that they did what they were supposed to do. No luck. And they don't really want you to be present while they do their work.
If you know a little about cars, follow common sense. If you can, double check their work.
BTW, would anyone have the list of checkpoints for the minor and major service checks?
I took my car for a 60,000 Km service to Chevrolet, and left it there, but was in a hurry when I picked it up. I was only charged for an oil and filter change, but when I checked the oil next day, it was a very dark colour, and obviously had not been changed. The 60,000 Km service involves a bit more than an oil change, so I checked the air filter, which should have been changed, that was in need of renewal.
I know that nothing had been done but I was still charged and the log book had been stamped for a 60,000 Km service. I will be going back there tomorrow to have my car properly serviced, and will be looking over their shoulders at all times, but this will be the last time.
If you take your car there, keep an eye on what they do, if preventitive maintenance is not done then the engine and car could be damaged.
I took my car back today, and on very close examination, they had changed the oil, (residue from the old oil had discoloured the new oil) but were very appologetic about the rest of the service which had not been completed. I had the rest of it done immediately, and a very appologetic manager looked after me, they regained some respect from me.
