Hope Microsoft manage to fix up your mail for you. Many (most?) people won't consider calling MS support but sometimes it can be worth it.
Yes am going through with the change and have gmail running OK now - but Microsoft Support have sorted the prob by providing an access code. At least stuff can now be retrieved!
I have found a problem that I found out is common for CAT users. When trying to go to Gmail I would get a popup saying I needed to update my flash player. It turns out this is caused by a virus that is very common world wide that changes your DNS setting on your PC or router. In my case it altered my router.
If you get infected by it don't do the update or buy bogus virus protection software which is the goal of the hackers.
You will need to fix it yourself as the CAT technicians have not been trained how to fix it yet.
The U.S. FBI has a web page dedicated to this kind of malware and gives instructions on how to fix.
Thanks. It is indeed the same problem but I had forgotten you earlier posts so didn't connect. I am on CAT and have a TPLink router so it seems wide spread. I have been doing fine for a few days after correcting the DNS enteries in the router. I hope I don't have to do it again.

I got a new PC with a Thai version of Windows Office installed. It's all in Thai. Can I change the Thai language to English (or any other language), or do I need to buy a new Office program? It was installed by the shop and I don't have the access key
The normal PC language setting does not change the language of the Office program.
Regarding DNS issues and website look-up problems (more common on 3BB than the others) I'd advise using Google's free DNS services, haven't had any issues since changing mine.

You have to completely uninstall the Thai version of Office and re-install an English or Danish version, its the only way I have found that works. Windows (since XP anyway) has been multi-language with no need for specific versions.

After several attempts that's also my conclusion. Now I just hope that what the shop installed is not a bundled package in which Office may be an integral part..
my wife has been able to watch her favourite Korean dramas on Hulu and Drama Fever
for the past two years without major problems using Hot Spot Shield.
Now suddenly their servers seem to have detected that we are not residing in the US
and consequently stubbornly refuse to share episodes.
Can anyone think of a remedy, a more effective, alternative re-router or more accessible film/tv
websites?
Thanks!

I'm having a real problem with one of my computers right now... a Toshiba (never again).
Basically the thing is straining to function, takes 10 minutes to start up and finds it difficult to play a movie on VLC player (or any others for that matter) while using the internet at the same time. What will happen is the movie continually pauses itself, acts like it's buffering then start back up (sometimes after seconds... sometimes a minute). Even things like Microsoft Word are sluggish... start writing a sentence and you'll get the 'Not Responding' every couple of words and have to wait 2-3 seconds to start typing again.
I have about 15 gigs free on the C drive and 5-10 gigs free on the D drive (out of 600 gig) so it's not completely full. The things only a few years old...
