I've just been clearing out my junk mail, and found the latest Expat TV software (laptop) upgrade in there. Now with just one click of the mouse I can take a photo of what is on the screen, or record a programme for later viewing.
I only heard about Thaiexpattv during my holiday in February.
When watching the BBC iPlayer etc on my laptop (with a VPN) the programmes generally buffer a lot and some times can be difficult to watch in Hua Hin.
I went for the 2 day free trial with ExPattv and I found watching the programmes a lot more enjoyable with very little buffering, although you only get 7 days of catch up using Expat.
When I was in Bang Saphan it was hopeless trying to watch a download, apparently the internet works via the phone lines so it can never be quick enough to watch BBC progs on download.
So now my question is, if subscribed to Thai Expat TV and being in Bang Saphan or elsewhere remote, would you be able to watch BBC dramas etc on download witout too much buffering?
If you can then 600 thb per month would represent decent value.

On a separate thread it was mentioned by Big Boy that you need at least a 3 MB Internet speed for Thai Expat TV - if you can get there where you'll be, then you should be ok.
I have been using thai expat tv for a month now,im currently on the 3bb 13mb package i have had probs with freezing with other sites, but not so much with thai expat.
It has a built in buffer, last week i lost internet connection but was still able to watch tv for another 15mins.!!
I watch it via the internet and run a cable to my tv,sometimes the picture gets "stuck" but i have a remote mouse and just click and im back on track..i highly recommend the service
As the Premiership season has drawn to a close, the World Cup 2014 fever is just beginning!
We are just weeks away now from the opening matches of the 20th FIFA World Cup hosted in Brazil. Thai Expat TV are very excited to have all 64 games available in spectacular HD quality both live & on demand, with of course, full English commentary & punditry.
The opening match between host nation Brazil v Croatia kicks off on Friday 13th June at 3am (Thailand time), so having the option to watch all of these late games when you wake up, or at your discretion, really is key to getting the most out of this fantastic competition. All matches will be broadcast live and will remain available to view on catchup for a full 7 days.
