Quite early 6am or even5 30 I think. Problem with a 6 am minibus is that it hits the BKK suburbs at 8am and getting over the river and to Vic monument can be a miserably long hour or more.

The Minivan at the corner of Phetkasem and soi 70 leaves at 4.00am

they leave about every 30 minutes until 6.00 or 6.30pm

A few years back I remember having to take an early van. We asked a couple of days before what time they left and were given a time. When we arrived for the van we got our ticket and were told we would be leaving at the scheduled time. Well the scheduled time came and went and we left when the van finally got full. So if you have to be somewhere in Bangkok at a certain time, make sure to give yourself a little extra time.
