We have a TOT landline + internet connection at home. When we bought a replacement TP-Link router recently from the TOT office in Pranburi they configured the router in the office using their own pc and when we got home all we had to do was connect to our pc, plug it in and switch it on!

Whenever we've had problems with the internet link they have been quite quick to send an engineer round to sort it out. One engineer even gave us his personal mobile number so we could call him direct if we had a problem. Fortunately not had to use it (touching wood!!).

Might be worth a visit to your local office.

I use a program called CutePDF Writer to print directly to pdf files. Just make sure you don't end up installing that Ask toolbar that is bundled together with it in the free package!

I am also the IT manager at my work place and use it there too instead of forking out a lot of money for Adobe Acrobat. ;-)

Ok, I've got a weird problem that started yesterday only in FireFox, not Chrome. I don't like Chrome and I have spent years customizing FireFox to my needs so I'd like to figure it out. All of a sudden many, if not most web pages I visit don't display properly or not at all. Here are some examples:

Yahoo homepage:
Yahoo.jpg
Yahoo.jpg (17.39 KiB) Viewed 1204 times
Another mail service homepage that should be similar to yahoo with photos, news feeds, etc.:
Mail.jpg
http://www.hotmail.com just gives a blank white page, but gmail works ok. Of three forums this one and one other works ok, but a bangkok forum that I read appears the same as the mail pages (text only in a weird format). At first I thought it was local pages ok, international pages bad, but TrueVisions schedule search page is bad as well.

Any Ideas?

Happens to me now and again but soon reverts back. Strength of signal? Traffic overload?

I've had similar problems over here in Rayong HHF for the past 48 hours. I'm on TOT dsl and my assumptions is that the problems are stemming from Bangkok. That's at least where the local TOT people are saying the server problems are. I'll go hours with nothing, some time similar to what's happening to you, then blazing speed....then repeat the whole cycle over again. :banghead: No idea if simply too many people on line given all the demonstrations, or services limited due to buildings being tampered with etc. Pete

Hi.

HHFarang, it looks as if the webpages doesn't load all their stylesheets (.css files). Also one of the pages you display indicates that Java is not running.

Check that your Java is enabled and updated (V7 Release 51 is the newest I think).

If the problem persists, you can use the network console in the Firebug plugin (for Firefox) to check if the CSS files are loaded/blocked/not responding/whatever.

If the webpage requests the CSS files but doesn't get them, the problem lies with the website.
If they are not requested you may have disabled some setting in your browser or a plugin.

Thanks Crafack,

I just got a message that I needed to update Java a couple of days ago and did to V7.51. That's about the same time the problem started. Maybe it was a bug in the update and I really need to revert to the previous version.

Ok, just in case anyone else is having the above problem. The only way I was able to fix it was to uninstall FireFox and reinstall a fresh copy (same version; latest). Just to be thorough, I deleted all my personal FireFox data as well in case it was corrupted (using Revo Uninstaller) so I removed all traces of FireFox from my machine (after backing up my bookmarks and making a list of my add-ons so I could replace them after the new install).

I have another weird problem. Whenever I start windows just as it is in the final stages of loading all the startup stuff, an error box pops up on the screen along with the noise from windows when it pops up such boxes, but the box appears for a split second then disappears so fast it's impossible to read. This has been happening for several days and I have no clue what it could be. Everything seems to be running ok otherwise. :? :? :? Are there any log files where I can find out what this error message says?

Snap. Me too. I sit and wait for the message (trying not to blink :D ) - I've no idea what it is either :?
