I thought I could entertain you with a phenomena that I doubt is visible in Thailand very often, the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis.

The picture has been taken by a friend of mine, a very good hobby photographer called Tommy Skog. You can see a lot more of his pictures (and in higher resolution) at his Facebook page.

For - off- wordly exploration and settlement I strongly reccomend Steven Baxter's latest "novel" Proxima.
I say "novel" because it is science fiction (at it's best) but as science based, real - future as we can phatom it.

To know the rules - is you what you really refer to, that is different from understanding the rules, which depends on your perspective. For some like me, maybe they are not to understand but remove.
I will not pursue that any further as life is too precious,

Great stuff guys!.
I don't take any pictures myself, I am strictly a visual observer.
There are many members in our club and others who do take lots of pictures.
I was able to be a judge for this years most interesting and best in 3 categories,
it was a most interesting night.
My big interest in the hobby is to try see the small stuff through my telescope and the 14 inch
scope of the observatory. I have managed to see the little speck that is Pluto. I may have been able to see one of the biggest stars in the Galaxy, and we were all fortunate to see the latest
supernova. One of the members was able to get some photos of it, through the 14inch. as well as his own camera and telescope.

As you say mind boggling but what is even more amazing is that this was predicted by Einstein almost 100 years ago - the label "a Genius" doesn't do him justice.
