arcadianagain wrote:Oh the irony. I got a message from the Daily Mail today to say that one of my comments has been pulled owing to the number of complaints. I was commenting on the report that Monaco and their oil-rich owner were offering zillions of euros to tempt AVB and Bale away from Spurs. I suggested they should stick to a sport they knew something about, camel racing, and not expect the world to come running when they flashed their cash. I hope you Spurs fans are proud of me, I won`t make a habit of it!
Apparently Monaco are about to appoint Fabio Capello as manager in preference to Villas-Boas  ....AVB must have had a shocking interview !
Tough start for United....Swansea (a),Chelsea (h),Liverpool (a),Crystal Palace (h),Manchester City (a).......only one of those looks a straightforward win and that could change if Liverpool make some more decent signings !

Joe Kinnear launched a foul mouthed tirade in his initial interview as Newcastles Director of Football....
1.He claimed he was far more intelligent than those criticising him.
2.He got half a dozen players and the managing directors names wrong.
3.He claimed credit for signing keeper,Martin Krul, when it was Graeme Souness who signed him as a teenager in 2005.
4.He claimed never to have been manager when a team was relegated when,in fact,he took Luton down in 2001.

Joe Kinnear.....elderley.....confused.....foul mouthed.....he'd be a good addition to this forum ! 8)

Footballs back......

Over 400 times according to him, in reality it was just over half that.

Somebody needs to tell this Dinosaur his bullshit can be checked in under 1 minute via Wikipedia, in the press conference, whilst he's on to his next lie.

Welcome back! Gossip or a reliable source? Mourinho has confirmed he remains as captain.

Pretty reliable, The Anfield Wrap podcast I listen to is currently covering all other clubs build up to the new season, week by week, as there's obviously a lack of Liverpool specific content at the minute to cover an hour show.

Anyway, they had Rory Smith on, who's a journo for The Times, he's a Liverpool supporter but not a sensationalistic hack. About 30 minutes in.

No, not at all, just the inside line on what you can and can't print. It's not from the gossip column in the Sunday Sport.

They are both egotistical bellends, it all adds up.

Caller, there's obviously some truth in it. It wasn't written on the back of a beer mat.

On the ticket price front, well done to Spirit of Shankly and the Arsenal equivalent for actually joining up and getting proactive about it.

'Obviously'

Anyway, on to other matters - 'and the money keeps rolling in from every side' (apologies to Lloyd Webber / Rice).

Chelsea's turn to announce a record kit deal, with Adidas, for a cool 300m!

Chelseas deals are irrelevant when they spaff £50'000'000 on Fernando Torres and pay Mourinho £250'000 a week.

Let's be honest, Abramovich signed that deal with a crayon in a vice like grip.

Liverpool expected to sign Belgian international keeper,Simon Mignolet, from Sunderland for 9m next week.
Brendan Rodgers certainly isnt hanging about with new signings Toure,Aspas and Alberto, plus being linked with Tiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon and Henrikh Mkhitarayan from Shaktar Donetsk.
Looks like Pepe Reina could be going back to Barcelona then ?
