owning land/houses-visas etc

Hello to you all!!!

i have heard that you now do NOT have to set up a company to own your own land/house....

is this defo the case ? or is it still like the old way with anominous thai directors etc.....

As far as I am aware foreigners CAN NOT own land in Thailand (although you can get a long lease). The best online source of information for all of these issues is http://www.thaivisa.com

Cheers for the reply.....but i am sure if you start a company ie...running the gauntlet of lawyers.....and the supposed anom directors......you can have your own anything i.e. land, business, non imm 1 year visa the lot.

This would be ideal though costly and even better if no lawyers / 3rd party's involved........
