Hotels in Dolphin Bay area
There seems to be numerous hotels in the Dolphin Bay area including Dolphin Bay Resort, Anchana, Long Beach Inn, Baan Golden, Tearasilsa and others. Does anyone have info on this area? Is there any nice places to eat? What is Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park like?
Hi Nomad, I often go down to the area around the Dolphin Bay resort for lunch, it’s an easy drive from Hua Hin, and I’ve even done it on a Honda Wave.
There is a beach with a pleasant view of some islands, and a scattering of small hotels amongst palm trees. I’ve never stayed the night there, but I imagine that it would be good if you wanted a bit of peace and quite. Most of the hotels there have restaurants, but I usually eat at a local place on the beach, which does good Thai seafood dishes. The Dolphin Bay Hotel has reasonable western food but is a bit more expensive.

The Dolphin Bay Resort is extremely good value for accommodation and facilities. I've stayed there a couple of times and was happy with room/service.
The split bungalows on the ground floor are nicer than the rooms on the first floor though and are roughly the same price, as far as I can remember.
It's certainly a lot cheaper than the places nearby, e.g. Anchana.
