Ah, Belgium comes a close 2nd! I was there just before Christmas and where I was, they all seemed to be tucking into the spirit of the occasion, funnily enough, that didn't seem to include food at all, apart from a late night burger.

But I was taken aback in Oz, to be called akin to a heathen for using vinegar and the local chippy had stuff in a plastic tub that was certianly not malt and more akin to white spirit - I passed!

Edit - and I agree about the beer!

You think mayonnaise is bad--In Quebec they add cheese curds and gravy.

I have no problem with people put mayonnaise on their food. Live and let live I say. What I get pi**ed off about is when I order something from a menu that would normally never come with mayo, and the menu makes no mention that it will *have* mayo, then when it arrives it has that "artistic drizzle" of mayo all over it - thus rendering it inedible.

Speaking of fish and chips, I had an order at Hua Hin 99er cafe (served with green peas) and it was very good, especially for 99 baht... and I like mine with ketchup!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Were the peas mushies? If they were, I will probably give it a try with my son - he'll eat what I can't finish.

Spartan upbringing eh. A bit harsh. Come on, order him a portion too.

Doubt whether they're mushies in that price. The only good mushies man (Barry) has shut down for a spell and gone back to Lancashire
