Expat Meetings

Post by hersh »

Hello,

I am coming for the month of April and was wondering if there are expat monthly meetings I could sit in on?

Thank you

What kind of meeting are you looking for? Is it just a social gathering to meet other expats, or something more formal?

If it's just a social gathering, Johnny Walker at Johnny's 56 Pub & Restaurant holds a monthly quiz night, which is quite well supported. You will find details here viewtopic.php?f=4&t=20425 .

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

He may be familiar with groups like the below from over in Pattaya. To my knowledge Hersh nothing like these has been organized in Hua Hin yet. Pete

EDIT: Wouldn't be a bad idea for you to organize and get something going BB.

Depends on your nationality. The Swedes have a well-attended meeting on the last Thursday of every month. At the Dusit now, I believe.
This is the way

I am coming from the States and just wanted to meet some local expats to pick their brain.

I know Chiang Mai has a monthly meeting for expats and wasn't sure if HH had something like this to attend...

This forum is probably the best place to do that, a wealth of knowledge and information lies within. Expat groups here usually stick to their own nationality, are a little cliquey, or are united by a common interest such as golf, cycling or darts etc.

Apart fromthis forum, as BB mentioned earlier, there is a monthly quiz night held at Johnnie Walkers bar normally the first Thursday of every month where lots of expats gather, so check the forum for confirmation of the date in about 3 weeks time.
