Phone number for the Cha Am motor office

Post by dotx »

Any idea how to get the phone number for the motor office in Cha Am (where you go to renew your driver's license)? I can have somebody Thai call and ask for directions -- I'm afraid I"m never going to find it otherwise!

The only link I could find is below. Unfortunately the sub-links for provincial office details are broken. I suggest you have your Thai person call the Bangkok HQ phone number and ask for the Cha Am phone number. Pete

It's not that difficult to find - if your driving on the main road having left Cha Am and heading towards Petchaburi you drive as far as the amusement park (cant remember the name but its the only one with a big wheel attraction) and you then have to do a u-turn at the first opportunity past there. Come back about 100-200 metres and you have to turn left towards the licence office. I don't think there are any signs in English but pretty sure there are some in Thai, but if you have a Thai person with you, you can stop and ask for final directions.

Thank you both.

I'm assuming that's Santorini Park you're talking about? So it's the first u-turn after the park (meaning the office is across the road from the park)? That sounds easy enough, actually.

That's the one so coming from HH and then from CA, Santorini Park will be on your left so take the u-turn on the right and come back a 100 metres or so and take the left exit. The licence office is not on the main road so go down about 200 metres and where you see a place that looks like its the licence office, it isn't!! Go to the left and the office is another 100-200 metres on the left.

Just to warn you they have no photocopying facilities there so make sure you take everything you need otherwise you have to find the local market (not too hard) and get your photocopies done there.
