OK, I've hit the screen a bit, and I've now got the Green Army. I prefer the other app though.

Also I think Buksida mentioned the Nexus 7 in another thread, looks a brilliant bit of kit for 160 quid 8gb (not enough imho) 200 quid 16gb, they're releasing one soon with 3g etc

That link gives a price in Baht :? Is that because it knows that I've opened it in Thailand, or did you realise that? It says 186 baht.

Yes mate, it just gives it in local currency.

I fly out next week and I've got loads of credit on my Thai card so I'll wait.

Is it a genuine galaxy note or a dual-SIM copy? If it's the latter I may be able to help. Let me the exact model number (menu/system settings/about phone) and we'll see where to go from there.

In that case I don't know about rooting but I'd imagine it's not too difficult. Google it. If it's just google play stor you want you should be able to side load it.

If yours is rooted it'd likely be cos the google apps pack, called 'gapps', wasn't included with the rom you got. With a lot of roms gapps is a separate file that needs to be flashed. If this is the case you would be missing a lot of the other google c.rap that we get lumbered with.

Think it's easy enough to flash gapps in after. BUT be a bit cautious as I did one and when reading about it the 'international' note... or possibly even the 'Asian-international' note was prone to permanent 'bricking' because of something in it's make-up. Probably mascara.

If anyone's having problems freezing/unfreezing apps with Titanium (what is it with snide paid-app torrents these days, your just not guarantee any quality with what you nick these days  )... then this (free) app is awesome. And the most userfriendly app ever...

I've been quite a loyal HTC User for the past few (6-7) years

Recently my HTC Incredible S died. I had a look at both the HTC One X and the Galaxy SIII.

I decided to buy the SIII. For the first 2 days, I thought I'd made a big mistake.. However after a few more days, once I got familiar with the SIII, I realise that I made a good choice.

I've now got a new Galaxy Note 10.1 also (to replace my old Galaxy Tab Original), and that is absolutely awesome. I'm not an Apple fan, but as the Note 10.1 was more expensive that the new Ipad, I put both together for a bit of side-by-side testing, before I made the purchase. In my opinion, the Note 10.1 walked all over the Ipad, and made it look positively outdated.

Samsung make the best gear on the market imo, certainly in its price range.

HTC beat them with the finish, Ali over plastic, but underneath Samsung have been ahead for a while.
