Warm greetings
Warm greetings
Greetings all!
Thought I would introduce myself. A Bangkok veteran recently relocated to Hua Hin. I was once in Hua Hin about eight years ago. I see some things have changed, others not so much. I look forward to sharing my tales and adventures while I'm here and reading the advice and suggestions of the established Hua Hin veterans. I will be happy to offer any insight and pass along any information as appropriate. Cheers!

From the 50000 foot view, not so much. Places may have changed names or been taken over by new owners but overall still feels mostly the same. Some places didn't even change names. There are many restaurants I recognize from 8 years ago. Soi Binta still being the main drag, it's smaller sister soi on the other side. The Hilton. The beach. Etc. On a more detailed level, I'm sure there has been a great deal. The biggest for me is Market Village, but I find it quite nice to have a Tesco close by.

Hi Jorakae,
Some places you may or may not have found -
Hua Hin ham and bacon - soi 41 - lots of nice treats
Villa market - close to San Paolo
Jean Pierre Butcher - soi 88
Market Village notables - Bread and pastry shop in front of Tesco - they make beautful whole wheat bread - called Yamazaki.
Check out the feeding time forum loads of good advice there.
You a golfer??
Cheers,
JW

Re: Warm greetings
Thank you for the tips. I love to eat well. Glad to see there is a good butcher in town. I will definitely stop by there.JW wrote:Hi Jorakae,

While I do posses the ability to golf, I don't necessarily have the skill. When I golf with colleagues or friends it is definitely for fun rather than competition. I am a much better eater than I am a golfer.

Welcome Jorakae
I hope you find HH a bit more laid back than BKK.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
