What type of food & what price range? Also, do you mean for day or evening? There are some very good Thai restaurants on the beach (walk straight down the beach "road", past Baan Thai Resort & turn right. There's one with a lot of stone tables & benches, doesn't look much, but the food's OK. Another good one is on the beach just past Blue Wave. Not sure if these are open at night, I've only been there for lunch.
Rua Rimtarn (the boat restaurant) is right next to Jamchuree, 2 mins walk, if that.
For more of a special occasion, Supatras is about 5-10 mins walk, just past the entrance to Wat Khao Lang Thom & the police station/box. If you fancy a choice of European & Thai food, Anantasila hotel on the beach (before Blue Wave) is also nice.
Hope that helps.

Supatra-by-the-Sea is excellent, you'll find it on the local maps, it's also on the HHAD area map, grid G-14.

Right on the beach, view of Kao Takiab with the big Buddha lit up.
Tables set in tropical gardens, sometimes has soft live music.

Food really good, service always good, definately worth a visit.

Burger (not available there)

The boat Rua..- as said previously- has good value for money food (try the oysters and crabcakes)
ESA's restaurant just at the corner when going to the boat restaurant has excellent seafood sallads and service w a smiiiile
UNO, when you turn left on the main road from Jamchuree condo; (200m)excellent pasta dishes and thai food, friendly service, music some evenings
Take a looong walk on the beach down to the "military complex" (white building about 40min walk ) and have a full american breakfast or OIGNON soup :)
Enjoy!
