This forecast for the £ - $ does not look very encouraging for the first half of next year and we all know the baht follows the $ :(

If the Euro falls apart then sterling should rise.

If we can believe the little chart on the right hand side, then the Pound has increased by 1.2 Baht today, which is quite a substantial rise.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

That's not true. The baht has been in low 48. for over a week! In fact it must be a month since it was a baht higher or lower. It's been moving in 10th's of a baht up and down on a daily basis for quite a while!

No good economic news coming from UK today though so it may be due to fears about the Euro with Holland and France Government changes happening. Spanish economy also looking more uncertain.

Yes, overnight it has gone to 31.0 USD and 50.0087 GBP. I haven't seen it at that level in a long time. Pete

Anybody know how the Baht will fair in the coming year??

Post by Skmly »

Hello All

Interested to know how people percieve the exchange rate will fair against the pound.

Its slowly moving to a favourable rate for UK visitors if im not mistaken??

Anyone got any constructive views for the coming year as I dont follow the Bahts progress every week.

Many thanks

Pretty certain that if you asked 10 "experts" you would get 10 different answers on how much the exchange rate will increase/decrease (Baht to the £). Of course we all hope it continues to increase, but there are so many external factors that could move it up or down, it's anybody's guess.

Ask 10 experts you get 9 different answers. One will not comment. He is on his yacht in the Bahama's. :thumb:
