I agree about the Liverpool 'penalty', but such things have a habit of getting missed when the going isn't good. And I really don't think Carroll dived, it just seemed a really clumsy loss of balance, having passed the keeper.

And bizarrely, stats show that Liverpool have a better win rate when Carroll plays. But they are suffering with absences in defence and missing Lucas in midfield.

The sending off annoyed me as well. Now, we all know you can't nod your head in another's direction, but Perch must have been blown over by Reina's breath - maybe he should switch to Listerine in future! :D

On saying all of that, Kenny's current record is worse than Woy's before he was sacked and since the turn of the year, their record is the 2nd worse in the league.

By his own admission, he's 'not everyone's cup of tea', but he is as tough and as brave as they come and still the outstanding centre-back in English football...

From Chelsea's website:

TERRY UPDATE
Posted on: Thu 05 Apr 2012
The club has released the following statement regarding the fitness of John Terry.

Scans confirm that John has two cracked ribs sustained in last week's game in Portugal. We have been able to manage it and will continue to do so.

We will continue to monitor it on a daily basis and will assess him for upcoming games

He played 90 minutes against Villa last week, most of yesterdays game and recently played just 2-weeks after a knee op, and has said he will play through the pain after the above injury. No wonder a previous manager described him as bionic!

"Brave" JT hasn't even been in the top 5 in the League this season, nevermind the outstanding centreback in English Football.

Kompany, Skrtel, Lescott, Agger, Collocini, Kaboul, Taylor all been better this year.

When's his courtcase anyway?

What kind of guy calls himself a legend on his autobiography?

My mate goes to the gym with Micah Richards brother and anybody outside of Chelsea in the England camp can't stand the bloke.

Well, 2 of those are English, which is what I was really getting at. It always amazes me that personal prejudice comes to the fore whenever mentioning JT. By the way, my old boss lives around the corner from Hansen, and I won't tell you what he thinks of him! But then he's an Everton fan

Personally i think he's been the best out & out centre half for many years, English or otherwise.
Pretty similar to Tony Adams in many ways, who was an absolute colossus for us in the same way as JT is at chelski.

Out of Baabaa's list, there's only one that would get in our team & we nearly got him too :banghead:

I won't belittle his quality over the past 5 to 8 years Caller, he's been a great a player.
I'm talking this year and more than 1 would get get into Arsenals team.

I'm guessing you're talking about Kompany but Agger would be most suited to Arsenal if he wasn't a permacrock. The lad can play.

Kaboul said he would never play for Arsne!

Sunderland 0 - 0 Spurs

Hardly enthralling. It would have been a good game to win, but an easy game to lose. All things considered, I'll take the draw.
What is good to see is that, although still far from invulnerable, Spurs aren't quite the defensive soft touch they have been in the past. This is exactly the sort of game, along with the Chelsea draw and the win against Swansea, that we'd have lost a few years back.

And Kaboul has been an absolute rock. 3-4 years ago, both he and Assou Ekotou looked as though they were heading in the same direction as Prince Boateng.

EDIT: hang on, Kaboul did go for a while, didn't he, and then came back...
This is the way

Guess I'll take the draw - but Spurs were too cautious too long

Anyway - here's hoping the Arse loose tomorrow............

I thought Sunderland played for the draw and that was very disappointing.

O'Neill for you but it's a hard place to go to be fair.

We're currently losing to Aston "shite" Villa,at Anfield, so look on the Brightside.
