I think most of the people who rent out bikes will tell you the same thing since they'd rather not have so much mileage added on to their bikes. Your best bet would be to keep your intentions to yourself. Alternatively, you could try renting one from one of the members on here.
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
Wouldn't hurt to have the rental agreement translated. Could contain a nasty gotcha clause for where one takes the bike or how many miles they accumulate.

I haven't rented a bike in years, but when I used to, I never once had to sign any rental agreement, and nobody ever seemed to check how many miles I's done. Just as well really.

I have heard that the reason for the ban in the absence of insurance or registration of the bike. A high mileage and easy to provide within the boundaries of the area, there are many beautiful places where you can go on a bike.
The rental agreement there is a clause prohibiting travel outside the area.
What would constitute a high mileage? I rented a Honda PCX last year and did 160kms in an afternoon on it. It wasnt hired in HH, but in Pranburi. I told them where I intended taking it and they were fine with it, no problems at all.

The reason is the lack of insurance coverage.
I never did longer trips with bikes, always rented those locally.
Once I rented one in Kho Kaen and went outside of the province. As you know there are always police controls when leaving the province. They stopped me and asked for all kinds of documents which I didn't have ( incl. drivers license ). The lady who had rented the bike to me had given me her cell number and had told me that if there a problems with the police to immediately call her since her husband ans her father were police officers too. So they called the lady and after a short discussion on the phone I was free to leave without ticket, however had to return back to Khon Kaen.

I rented a 150cc Honda PCX last september for 250BHT for 24 hours. They were asking 300BHT. Prices may have risen, but im sure present residents in HH will update you.
