I usually play there twice a week.

Greens are ok but the fairways are in pretty poor nick - course D is particularly bad!

Qualifying school for the Asian tour is taking place early January at Springfield, Majestic and Lakeview.
Considering the poor condition of Lakeview and Majestic one wonders why they don't go elsewhere.

It was certainly a nuisance last year at Springfield as it made the course very busy and the pace of play very slow.

Lake View is hard but the greens are fine, most should like it.. balls going a long way. Nothing to stop good golf being played there is you take preferred lies on fairways. :thumb:

Booking: If I want to play in Hua Hin, is it better to book on-line from home or do I book there?

Asian Tour Qualifying School 2012
Hello Golfers,
Please be aware that there is a record 599 Professionals teeing it up next week for 2012 Asian Tour Q-School. To accommodate this large number, one additional course has been added. Banyan Golf Course. So if you plan to play there during week one from January 9-15,better call first as things have changed and the course is now booked. Not sure if it will be closed all day or just partial, but thought I would give a heads up to all.
HAPPY GOLFING!

I saw a big sign on the walking bridge over Phetkasem near the Catholic school today. I was driving under so didn't have time to read much but the headlines were "Hua Hin Ryder Cup Charity Challenge". Most of the rest appeared to be in Thai so I didn't get details or even dates

Anyone know anything about this?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Generally easy to get the tee time you want at most places.

The OP is short of time so 4 hours (return) travel might be a problem as well as transport costs, which may make the green fees higher than HH - however both courses are great to play.

I will be going to Hau Hin for the first time in June, I usually go to Pattaya and play competition golf 4 or 5 times a week which is organised by various bars, they organise all tees, transport and comps. Do any bars in Hua Hin offer this service??
