Bars to be moved

Has anybody got info on the rumour that Bernies etc have to move off the railway land to make way for a new development

Was i Hua Hin in July this summer, a Tuk Tuk-driver who was a local told that in about to years all the beerbars on Soi Bintabat, Selekam would be moved out of town, near the railroad.

( we wanted to rent a beerbar, but when he had told that, no way)

Yes you are right there have been lots of stories about the bars moving,
but lisences are still being renewed and new ones issued. Not sure if there is enough room any where else even over the railway, I think prob no as the locals make big money from rent key money etc in the centre of town and prob also have friends on the council to let them know what's happening, would tourists travel from their hotels all the way over the railway again prob not, but I did hear that the bizzar has been sold.
