One of my rules of thumb is a business that doesn't advertise it's prices does so because they are either higher than the market or determined on the spot after sizing up the customer.

Re: Hua Hin motorbike and bicycle rentals
Yes I can give an idea of my prices.
My motorbikes rent in the region of 200 /300 a day depends on make / model, condition etc.
Discounts available for longer term , week / month.
Most bikes are fairly new and in good condition.
My bicycles rent for about 150 / 300 a day. All bikes are of high quality with quality components, mainly Trek. Discounts for longer term. All bicycles come with fenders, lock and safety helmet.
Please call or e,mail your requirements. Or come to my shop, I open every day from about 8 a.m. till late.

Do they fill the bikes up with gas when they rent them out? Just asking cause what happened to me in Phuket was that I got a bike, they told me it was full but the indicator was broken. After 25 or so kilometers a was stranded on the foot of Big Buddha hill. That was great fun!
Re: Hua Hin motorbike and bicycle rentals
I don't know why you would be told that.
It's usual in Thailand for bikes to be supplied with next to empty tanks.

It is not usual with my bikes.Pleng wrote:I don't know why you would be told that.

I try to rent with a full tank. ( not always possible with a fast turnover ).
But I not charge anyone with something they not get.
You can measure the gasoline in the tank of my bikes before you rent.
No scams in my business.
Try me....( see my ad " bike rental hua Hin " http://www.huahinmedia.com/huahin-bike-rental.php )
Regards, Thida.
Re: Hua Hin motorbike and bicycle rentals
Sorry I wasn't trying to slur your business. I was speaking in general terms. I have never rented a bike with a full tank, nor have I ever expected to.

Re: Hua Hin motorbike and bicycle rentals
No offence intended, but my husband and I need a larger bike 850cc upwards, Kawasaki or Similar.
We're coming back here in Mid August and need one for 4 - 5 months at a time. Can any one help?

Hi T and D. Do you deliver. I am new to Hua Hin and have no idea where to go. Exploring on a bike is what i normally do when I go to the Phillipines. If you dont, how far away from the Evason are you? Many Thanks in advance.
Re: Hua Hin motorbike and bicycle rentals
Not advertizing prices usually makes me move on to one that does! It's not rocket science to do this even for daily, weekly and monthly rates. Yes and you can even work that in with high and low seasons. I think we all understand that this is a business and demand is greater at certain times of the year and its just smart business to capitalize on that. A person can go to Baht and Sold and usually find someone that is willing to advertize their prices. This not only applies to rentals, but sales too... A car lot with prices on the window is much more appealing to me than one where you have to try and make a deal, for many of us we can find this stressful. I'm currently looking at renting a bike when I arrive and that is why I came to this topic and I suspect I'm not the first one.
