Hi, I searched online and found that solar panels are not much costlier. There is a huge variety of solar panel systems available. Some can cost tens of thousands of dollars, and some cost just a couple hundred and installing solar panels atop the house roofs is a better idea. It would conserve more electricity if you install them atop your house roofs. Even I am planning to buy some affordable solar panels and install them atop roof.
