"It was a very difficult summer because half the dressing room wanted to leave," Wenger said ...
He added: "It was extraordinarily difficult. What saved us is that we're a club that are extremely solid and united. Other clubs would surely have gone to pieces in those circumstances.
Is it just me or is there a slight contradiction in there somewhere? :?

It's been a while since I've enjoyed watching ManU as much as I did tonight. Looking good at Loftus Road as well. Now then, we lost 8-2 at Old Trafford and Citeh beat ManU 6-1. The question is will we lose 14-3 against Citeh in December 18th?

An odd weekend for football with the big boys dropping points!!!! Man u and Chelsea losing and Norwich drawing with the racists. Meanwhile the mighty Geordies go marching on and are now on the same points as chelsea!!!! Who'd have thought??? At the top of the season i was expecting a relegation battle. Now i don't think for a minute we're going to finish fourth but hey,we're still unbeaten and more importantly, half way to safety. Happy days up north!!!
I even heard cries of "Alan Pardew's black and white army" yesterday. I really didn't think i'd ever hear that

Well done to Citeh.....you murdered us.....I doubt if there is a better striker than Aguero in the Premiership.
United have been living on borrowed time since their lucky draw at Stoke......Basle,Norwich,Liverpool.....should have lost a couple of those.
Only De Gea,Evra,Welbeck and Young should be worth a place in the starting line up for the next match !
The flying start to the season is a distant memory now.

But the match after,QPR v Chelsea....did the referee Chris Foy used to go to Manchester Grammar School ?
A dubious penalty and two sendings off that hardly merited a booking.....Chelsea should still have won with only 9 men, though.

Liverpool v Norwich......well played,Andy Carroll !!
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

It's amazing how nobody has found any evidence of this alleged racism yet bubbly, Evra deserves the book to be thrown at him if the accusations aren't true.

England's brave John Terry however......

However much I like Liverpool, you Baa Baa know just as well as I that Suarez is a naughty little player of sorts who WILL be quite rightly vilified in the English league for his diving and every other nasty trait he posseses. He is not yet used to the way we do things in England but with his upcoming 3 match ban for racism and his ongoing media coverage for being a diver he might adapt to the English game just yet. His sickly sweet response to the racist allegations says it all (basically he is assuming we are all DAMN stupid)... Cue gay accent with a buck tooth lisp. Once I step onto the field I am playing out a fantasy... like a child living his dream. I would never do such a thng

He says this after... not so long ago... being banned for coming on 2 months if I'm not mistaken for BITING a player.

A great footballer he is..... a good human and respectable character he aint. Still stays in my fantasy football league (just) for now.

Guilty until proven innocent?

I'm pretty sure every media source going has scoured the footage repeatedly for evidence of this alleged racism, none has been found.

Funny that considering the amount of cameras and the "more than 10 times" he's alleged to have said something.

Yeah, the biting incident is a major blot on his cv, the handball at the world cup I didn't have an issue with. That's it as far as I'm concerned, I don't think he goes down any easier than anyone else, he gets a kicking most games and is clever at drawing fouls, I've not seen him perform a Ronaldo style swallow dive.

He didn't dive once against United but Fergie bringing his name up means the ref gives him nothing against Norwich.

I can understand other teams fans disliking him, I love the lad.

If he's guilty he'll be rightly vilified and get more than a 3 match ban but I have my doubts.

Yep, you're quite right actually. Innocent until proven guilty. Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions.

I shall certainly eat my words if it is proven that he is but... I have my doubts.

My eyes bugged out of my head when I read...."Metropolitan Police have confirmed to BBC Sport that they have been notified of an incident of alleged racial abuse." A bit much isn't it? Remind me never to refer to a Liverpool fan as a scouser any longer or I may end up on a watch list! :banghead: I'm sure Suarez endures being called Chico from time to time and the entire Indian cricket team is probably referred to as Colonials by the British team, and in turn the British are called Poms. In this day and age it's probably safer to insult someone's Mother to his face, or is that illegal as well? Pete

Madness I agree, but thats how the UK is. After the Stephen Lawrence murder and the inept and flawed police investigation that followed (that immediately after the stabbing, was, IMHO, affected by racial stereotyping), the presiding (retired) judge at the subsequent enquiry, Sir William MacPherson, defined a racist incident as follows:

'A racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person'

To cut a long story short, the Police are duty bound to investigate any such complaints of racism, which is a criminal offence along with other 'hate crimes' (including homophobia and disability)!

I always thought John Terry and big brother Rio Ferdinand friends as evidenced here:

Now I'm bug-eyed and speechless. Listen up you Thais, anyone calls me a farang again and I'm filing charges. Actually that would fit in rather well here given everyone suing everyone else for similar crazy things. Pete
