THORNE: a British cop series from sky 1 screened about a year ago. There are two 3-part storylines. I've only seen the 1st episode but it looks promising (startling end... ). I found it on TheBox (good site for UK stuff), it's also on VeeHD (simpler download).

TERRA NOVA sounds interesting, SM, have you seen it yet?

re TERRA NOVA

yeah....its pretty good...a bit like "Jurassic Park meets Lost". Pretty good CGI effects, and episode 1 and 2 lay in what appears to be a complex plot....well worth a watch.

On the other hand its fertile ground to go all Star Trek and Babylon 5 pompous up its own bum.....

Have downloaded Seasons 2,3 & 4 of ReGenesis, but cannot download Season 1 :cuss: :banghead: :banghead:

Does anyone have a link for this??? I'd prefer to download the full Season if possible rather than individual episodes......

quck update on that PBS history doc PROHIBITION

watched the first two via veehd.com and they are excellent - well up to Ken Burns' previous THE CIVIL WAR standards and done much the same - narrative history using archve footage, interviews and quotes.

Fascinating stuff and highly reccomended for history fans

I watched only the first 25 minutes. Did they explain why humans were going back 85 million years? Did they go back to the age of the dinosaurs because Spielberg had some dinosaur CGI software that was already paid for? Wouldn't 10,000 years have been enough? I wonder if the series will deal with the meteor that killed off the dinosaurs and all but the smallest mammals 65 million years ago or what happens when the descendants of the humans who went back evolve into other species.

It was totally predictable crap.

[spoiler alert]

As soon as the third child was discovered, you knew somebody was going to jail, only to break out just in time to join the family going back. When they made the time jump the kid was no where in sight, you just new she was going to be discovered only after being placed in peril. As soon as the military commander came on screen played like some Marine Colonel who chewed barbed wire and pooped nails you knew ... oh, you get the idea.

Anyone know where I can get the first three seasons of Sons Of Anarchy?

Veehd is only showing season 4, nothing on Stagevu and Torrents are severely throttled on my 3BB connection.

Should you decide severely throttled is better than nothing, eztv.it has all episodes. No idea how many seeders.

I cant use torrents, 3BB has throttled them and the max download speed I get with them is about 15Kbps. Stuff from veehd comes down at over 300Kbps. At current rate of downloading the first season of SOA will be complete around Christmas time.

I'd love an explanation of the last 2 posts, as I'm thinking of changing over from TT&T to 3BB.

I am quite happy to download at 200 Kbps on VeeHD, although I sometimes get more.

PROHIBITION - excellent....well up to Ken Burns usual high bar standard and utterly fascinating

BOARDWALK EMPIRE S2.....slow to get rolling but its heating up nicely

WALKING DEAD S2.....excellent and if anything this series has more splattery bits than the last so a download version will be better than the cut version running on Star.

KINGS OF RESTORATION....on History....the bloke who fixes up classic Americana....great watching

I've only just stumbled across the 2009 remake (reinterpretation?) of THE PRISONER.
I'm downloading the first episode now, but has anyone seen it?
