I subscribe to unlimited internet download here although it is slow compared to the UK for instance. However, I am still able to download 3 movies overnight and 3 while I am at work thanks to all the advice from Sandman on the movie thread.
However, I buy every top 40 chart album every few months from a contact in the UK who obviously downloads them. They are cheap enough from him but there is a delay in the postage of anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 months if they arrive at all !!
So as I have the internet capacity is there anywhere I can download them myself thus saving the delay ?
And if possible as well as the site names guidelines how to use the sites akin to our movie guru
And preferably with the tracks already named as 90% of the albums I now buy already has the tracks named. Previously it was around 50% and as they do not have mp3 tags I could not look them up on the internet on CDDB et al but had to manually type them all in ! Which is a bugger when I order compilation albums so usually 3 CD's with 20 tracks on each and I type with one finger !
Any help advice appreciated.

use the search function, find your target album, select the file hostng service you want to use and off you go. Works like a treat. Everything from our latest Eminem albums to your classic Ink Spots and Frank Sinatra "best ofs". Sometimes one of the file hosts has deleted the file, or its not what it says it is any more. Just move down the list till you find what you want.
The best three potential file hosters the site uses for downloads here in LOS are Megaupload, Fileserve and Rapidshare. Try one of those three first.
Finally, my tip for finding stuff you cant find on those sites:
Construct a search string in Google
something like:
"ALBUM NAME"+MP3+megaupload
or
"ARTIST NAME"+MP3+rapidshare
so its in fact
"File Name"+format+file hoster
with music / MP3s the most commonly used file hosts are Rapidshare, Megaupload, Mediafire and Fileserve.
Using that method I have managed to find ultra rare stuff like albums by Pallas (an 80s prog rock band) and Here & Now.
Finally Finally
Use Google Videos and do a video search for the track you want. Sometimes people load the track up to YouTube with hi quality audio and a static video of an album cover. Heres an example of that
Then you use a "FLV capture" add on to your browser to download the video, (do a search for "Youtube video capture tool") and a freeware FLV TO MP3 converter tool to get an MP3.

I got some good ones at www.hotfilesearch.com. I don't use torrents or have a client on my computer for that but this site has many straight downloads (larger ones are compressed or in several download "parts").
Just search for the artist and you get a list of downloads.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Not had much time to investigate the downloads so far but had some success with maxalbums but zero success with 4shared although I have only looked for around 7 or 8 new album releases. Thanks all.

I also use the links SM67 has mentioned but have got into the 'warez-bb' site. It basically sends you to where the downloads can be found on places like Filesonic/Fileserve/Hotfile etc and there's pretty much anything you can imagine on it, like movies/games/TV shows/documentaries/computer software with patches/hacks etc etc.
It's almost like a forum for searching for stuff.......sweet as really. Just register and off you go.
Google doesn't like to direct you to the site as it's only semi-legal I guess, but works a treat and haven't drawn a blank yet on anything I've been looking for so far.
you have to bear in mind that it takes time for people to rip disks and upload stuff, so the really popular pop stuff gets uploaded long before more niche music.
Use search strings to find sites like the one Spitfire flags up, then build up a bookmarks folder of useful bulletin board and blog sites.
Good luck bro and happy hunting.
