The missus has been offered a few Hotel jobs

but there all 6 days a week for 6-8K

one wanted 10 night shifts at month......
another 4 days holiday per annum after one years work...

Hotel staff must be relying on tips etc........

Its been eye opening......

She held a good job for a travel company in the UK....

Shes not giving up....

Hotel Jobs in Hua Hin seem to offer quite low wages but reasonably generous monthly 'service charge's. My girlfriend works in a big hotel and her Salary is only 7000bt, but her Service Charge usually ranges from 7000-15000 on top of her salary.

I guess the reasoning is that if the hotel/area/global economy hits hard times and the hotel is pretty empty then they don't have massive salary bills to foot.

But yea, the hours are long and the work is hard. Expect to see a lot less of your wife if she takes such a job!

I think you'll find most jobs in Thailand include a six day week. If you want, I can have a word with my wife.......maybe she can help your missus.
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
