Where Can I Buy A Powerball Exerciser?

Post by m0n5ter »

I'm a tennis player and I'd like to buy a Powerball exerciser. I heard it is being used mostly by golfers, so maybe someone here knows if there are any stores selling this kind of devices here in Hua Hin. I've tried Market Village, no luck. Of course I can buy it online, just wonder if I could buy it locally.
Any advise?
Thanks a lot.

Hi

When I was a kid I had a very small hard rubber ball (POWERBALL) bounced everywhere very fast, do you intend to chase one about?

Regards

I purchased mine in the UK, but haven't used it a lot.
Not seen them in HH or on my trips around Bangkok either, but i'd think they'd be available somewhere in Thailand.
Suggest browsing the web, and it might turn up...

Nope :) I meant gyroscopic exerciser like these: powerballs(dot)com
This is a hi-tech device, rotor inside spins at a very high speeds and at a peak speed of 15,000 RPM it feels like it weights about 20 kg.
I used it once before moving to Thailand. Now I'm trying to find it here, but it seems like I will end up in ordering it online.

Please send me a PM if you find a source. Never heard of them before but looks like it would help regain some hand strength.

I'll be in the UK later this month and might be able to pick a couple up if I can find a source who sell them there...
PM me if you want me to look.

Never heard of this before so googled it. Plenty for sale cheap on Ebay but who knows if they are copies or the real deal ?

Also do they work effectively or are they a gimmick ?

Thanks island07!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I owe you a beer :)

I finally found that shop (from the second try). They are located in the indoors part of Grand market, in the middle. They have a big screen there, so easy to find.
They sell original powerballs (from powerballs(dot)com) along with cheap Chinese copies (these were temporary out of stock, said to be back in a week). And prices are pretty much the same as on the official online store! I tested all of them (took a while) and bought so called "Signature series" device - with white leds (it was a hard choise between Signature and Techno :) )
It requires a little practice to spin it for the first time.
So far I'm really happy with the purchase, my personal record is 11455, spinning it upto 15000 seems impossible for me now :) but anyway it gives a lots of torque on that speed. You'd never believe such a small ball could be sooooo heavy.

Do they have the Titanium one in-stock it was a bit more pricier than the others because it's metal and has higher revs - it's supposed to be the ultimate...
