I would like to point out the cleanliness of the beach of Hua Hin. The number of horses that walk therein, leave their souvenirs as well as soil and defecating .. impuzzolire and the beach, these are in the sea. We should make a petition to stop what, 'cause for a fun hour, ruining the beach and the sea with their shit .. thanks

Hmmmm...... just a little bit of reformed grass that has passed through the horse. If you're that concerned, try thinking about what humans pump into the sea all over the world every day.

Can we get this back on to topic please? :offtopic: This topic is about whether Hua Hin is a good place to visit in October or November.

Last Octobers' HuaHin rain was more the miserable English variety, rather than the short sharp storms we are used to there. Still warm enough though. Better IMO to try to catch the Loi Khraton festival if you can - first full moon in November. That's when the rains are officially supposed to end....

An early FYI, Loy Kratong this year is Thursday, November 10. I would think many Thais will take a 4 day weekend even though the festival not an official holiday. Pete

EDIT: Here's a older link explaining what happens on Loy Kratong

I came over last October, first visit to HH, it rained nearly every day, and the flooding outside the mai tai bar was mighty impressive. I still fell in love with the place though, and came back in Jan and March this year, weather better, beach looks fantastic, warm air to enjoy a good beer in. But October is still okay and an experience to enjoy.
