Lucrative:
I was in HH hospital for 3 days/2 nights just before Songkran and i paid 1400 THB/night for private room, food included (thai/foreign food and not the same food everyone else got). I was not charged exstra for beeing a falang. Had a very nice "hotel room" with aircon, tv, fridge and private bathroom.
I have Thai government medical insurance so maybe that was the reason. I don't know

The only way is to tell them that you will not pay extra for being a foreigner and walk away

The SP hospital wanted to charge us more for child birth than they charge Thais, even though the doctor could clearly see it wasn't me that was pregnant, but my THAI wife. Ah well, the lost business X3, because as a result, all 3 of our kids were born at Petcharat hospital - great service all round.
