Help Needed Rental Property

Post by MD1950 »

Hi guys,

My brother is looking to move to Thailand on a more permanent basis and loves the HH area.

He has asked me to help him sort out a place to live before he comes (end of feb) so any ideas where I can find or start looking for a property with the following attributes?

1-3 year contract

2 or 3 bedrooms

House doesn't need to be ultra modern or packed full of plasma screen tvs. Something simple will do. What is important is land, He would like a large walled in garden. The bigger the better.

Obviously I dont think this can be found inside a 'moo baan' so a single house is fine, it also doesn't matter if he is a bit further out in the sticks.

He is an artist / play-writer so a nice peaceful expanse of private land with a comfortable house will be perfect.

So any ideas on areas / soi numbers / places I can head to? Or know of a place like this for rent? (Also what do you think he would be looking at rent wise)

I will only get to spend 3 days in HH this month so a place to start will be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Wishing you all a safe and happy 2011

I know a place in Paknampran that was available recently when we were looking for a house to rent for our German engineer.

It's only a couple of hundred metres from the beach and 1/2 km from the main village of Paknampran.

It's built in a semi Thai/farang style, has 2 bedrooms and has one air-con I think.

It is at the end of the soi and has a walled in garden, land size I would guess at about 400-500m2 but could be a bit bigger. It is not on a development.

The rent being asked was 6k per month.

If you're interested, I could ask if it's still available.

Go to my website below, contact page and then you can send me an email from there.
