Seafood
Re: Seafood
I think the problem would be if you didn't want seafood--it is a huge staple of the diet particularly in seaside areas where much is caught by local fishermen and is featured in every Thai restaurant.
I enjoy eating at the restaurants on the piers over the water, the food is standard Thai, the setting excellent and the prices reasonable.

Re: Seafood
If you have the transportation, Medsai Seafood in Cha Am is great!! On the beach and very inexpensive.
All the food we have had there has been fresh and great priced.

At the top of the night market [rail line end] on your left you will see seafood carts, the one where there cooking out the front is very good, the prawns [gung] with the cheese sauce is the best i have had in Thailand, and the lobster is great too
