Newcastles form is a bit erratic, they're beating teams you wouldn't expect and losing to teams they should be beating, bizzarely if they had the same amount of points but had lost to the likes of Arsenal but beat teams like Blackpool I bet he'd still be in a job.

Very true BaaBaa, but I hate to say it, this is what is wrong with football nowadays.
The only things I regret are the things I didn't do

Betting scam? The odds against him getting the sack were slashed just before the announcement.

More on all this below. It seems a mess to me and does not bode well for the rest of their season IMO. :( Pete

PS: Probably preaching to the choir but that publication has a lot of good info in it.

That article pretty much sums it up.

I could maybe just about understand if they'd brought in an O'Neill (Not that I'd want him at my club, but he does a job) a Jol or Rijkaard but the whole thing is bizarre.

I work daily with a Newcastle fan and his face when he told me who they'd got Pardew was a shocker.

"You heard who we got?" He didn't look happy.

He also knows a lad who's working on Ashleys house, this deal was done about 10 days ago. Pardew stayed at Ashleys house for the night last week, the lad went to the bookies but didn't place the bet because it was "only" evens.

 :? :? :? :? :?

I don't mind Newcastle as a club but I hope it goes pearshaped for Ashley.

Sam Allardyce has been sacked by Blackburn`s Indian owners. Another company with a long tradition in football will probably now throw money at a European manager with history. What odds Benitez?

Chelsea experts.....when Lampard is totally fit will both he and Malouda play and if so, in what positions? I think last week seeing Lampard play 14 minutes and Malouda 76 indicates that one was substituted for the other? Thanks. Pete

Its a 100% certain Lamps will play. I think Essian may drop to cover Mikels role?

Or Essian replaces Ramires, whose not quite with the pace of the game here yet.

Malouda on the left, Drogba and Anelka up front.

Let's hope Lamps will be leading his team to a victory this weekend. Cheez, now I've done it, I've actually said I hope Chelskea will win a match.

choosing the lesser of 2 evils is understandable & acceptable in the circumstances  :D

Maybe a draw would be better.

I think the odds all around would be a draw if Lampard was still out. However, it's still a great unknown how fit he really is and how long he can go. All the written predictions and reasons come out on Saturday morning, London time. I think the majority of them will call it 1-1. Pete
