Yet another accommodation problem

Post by margaretcarnes »

Oh well - it had to happen sooner or later I guess. Here I am with flights booked and struggling to find a flop in HH in advance of arrival around 15th October.
The unexpected influx of visitors this year has taken me by surprise. Condo Chain is fully booked through to April for gawds sake. Who said tourism was deaded?
It isn't a big deal yet - I do understand it's easier to find somewhere once there in HH. But on the offchance anyone knows of a 2 month rental from mid October to mid December or thereabouts I would appreciate info please.
Town house or chalet for 2 with basic cooking facilities would be good. Close to motorbike or TukTuk rank. Fan only is fine. And in the looming busy season ChaAm or KhaoTakiab could also be options worth looking at!
If all else fails it's Patters....oooh nooo!

Margaret : Where is your info from re Condochain fully booked ? Have you tried [edit: no property websites please] ? They have 3 or 4 units on their books in the Condochain building.

Why not use HHAD's own services? We have plenty to choose from for all budget levels:

Holiday rentals: http://property.huahinafterdark.com/pro ... pe=H&for=R

Private rentals: http://www.classifiedshuahin.com/index.php?catid=10

Hotel accommodation: http://www.huahinafterdark.com/hua-hin- ... okings.php

Note: if you have a property you want to rent, why not list it with HHAD - we have over 60,000 readers per month and charge a fraction of the local magazines (which are useless anyway since readers will already be in Hua Hin when viewing your ad).

I agree that it's harder this year, with most people insisting on a minimum 3 month lease. My accomodation was only confirmed 3 days ago.

I've been doing a one month rental for years, but I was really having my doubts this year.

Many thanks to all who have pm'd me with info - unfortunately I've just managed to delete all but 5 older messages in my folder in one go! Didn't think that was possible but there you go...
So my apologies but anyone who hasn't had a reply from me yet can be 100% sure that their message has disappeared - could you please re-send?

Some good leads so far - cheers all

Please may we remind our readers that soliciting rental properties or business via PM is forbidden and will result in the service being disabled. Freeloaders are not tolerated on HHAD and we have already had to alter the software to discourage them - we do not want to do it again.

As we have suggested, for the price of a meal and a couple of drinks you can list your property rental professionally in front of thousands of daily readers. Why this concept is so hard to grasp for owners or why they refuse to pay a tiny fee to get a potential steady rental income continually baffles us.

CONTACT US if you want to use this website to help rent your property.
