Ain't been in for well over a year, but it used to be 140 Baht a Heineken, if it's shot up to 200 Baht then that is over-priced. The cover charge used to be 140 Baht but included 1 drink free, so basically it was a non-cost.
But when it was 140 Baht (compared to Bintabaht 75 Baht) and everyone shouted rip-off I always argued that's about the right price. It's relative to city centre nightclub's anywhere else in the world, particulary in a 5 star hotel, where you can have a late drink (always a premium), with no entrance fee that you would normally get elsewhere, without a free drink, and entertainment (ok that last one's debateable).
Don't get me wrong I hate the place now although had some good nights in there when new to town, but it's not a nightclub to me because of the plastic music. But that should be off-set by the fact there's 100 odd girls in there smiling at you, even if 90% of them have no front teeth.
It's a perfect place for tourists though, and love it or hate it, it provides a service and will always be popular being at the end on Bintabaht.
