Hi drdod.

I think it is a newish development out near Black Mountain, Give it a Google and see if they have a website.

I'm sure that you will get some good and bad opinions from fellow posters on here, about the pros's and cons of house purchasing in Hua Hin, but in the end, only you can make the decision, once you are aware of all the facts.

Don't believe what you see on any website though, fancy scripts, sketches, promises and the like, mean nothing. Go see for yourself, after all, it's your money. :)

Take someone in the building profession with you, to look at the quality of the work and who can ask the developer/builder any relevant questions.

If they are like a lot of new build in Hua Hin, they will be overpriced.

Good luck.

Edit Just found their site, spec etc looks impressive.

Hi drdod, The best advice I can give you is to come here and rent for a while. This will give you time to access the situation for yourself. You can look around and see what is availiable.

You can learn a lot in a few months and with a lot of money involved its well worth it... :thumb:

Don't be tempted into deciding too quickly.

Very very good advice.

I'm just curious. Why buy a house if you could find a nice rental. What is the advantage to buying versus renting? If the houses are equal.

I'm not against renting, but there are distinct advantages to owning a property.

To list a few:-
  • You won't be evicted
You can plan and manage your own maintenance
You can modify, extend, pull-down, repaint as you like (subject to regulations)
You can use nest-egg in a more efficient way - without threat of huge rental increase demands
I'm ure there are many advantages too, to renting

Yes, I would rent for a while and take a good look around.
You can rent a small house or apartment for less than 10,000 bt a month; you just pay a months rent as deposit and a month in advance so it's easy to get into, and out of, with virtually no risk.
