All time favorite restaurant in Hua Hin/ Cha Am

OK, if money wern't an object, what's your favorite restaurant? Or maybe favorite by a certain cuisine?

For seafood we really like Medsai in Cha Am.

We done this one before - but without the 'money no object'! Which puts a whole different perspective on it so OK, money no object would have to try Brasserie de Paris.
But do you get a smoking corner in the price I wonder?

Aehhhh I still haven't tried all the Restaurants yet to be bale to fetermind my all time favorite eatery in Cha Am and Hua Hin!!!

Same here! After have lived only two months permanent here in Hua Hin I have 'eaten' my way through about forty restaurants and have still many left on my list, hence too early to say.

Seriously the best resturant in Hua Hin that I have eaten in without a doubt is Lek Leks. its cheap but delivers consistantly quality food.

I have paid more but pound for pound it wins hands down...

There are so many here now with new ones opening all the time that it's hard to pick a favorite but here are some of the ones I like.

As far as reasonably priced Thai food goes I like:

The Sirin Hotel restaurant (beside McDonalds)
Minifarm Kitchen (Soi 88 just across the tracks)
Tamarind (in Nong Khae beside the railroad tracks)
Pan Din Tong (south Petchkasem road just before the flyover)
Seb Nuer (beside the tracks near the train station)
Usa Mas (in Takiab)
Peppers (at the driving range on the Palau U road)

Seafood (expensive):

CoCo 51 (Nebkahardt Rd)
Supatra (Takiab)
Baan Itsara (Nebkahardt Rd)

Vietnamese:

North Sea (Phetkasem Rd. just before the flyover)
Madam Nu (Beside Market Village)

Japanese:

Sakura (Soi 94)
Fuji (Market Village)

American: (Steaks, ribs, Mexican, etc.)

California Cantina (across from Sofitel)

Thai and Western food: (medium priced)

Cool Relax (Sra Song Rd.)

Swedish:

Evas Krog (Soi 39)

There are also lots of good Italian places (too many to list).

Hua Hin

Despiate a disaterous first viist, I would say Coco 51. Many subsequent visits have been superb.

Cha Am

Without a doubt, Bpak Klong. In fact I would say that this is (everytime) the best Thai Seafood I've tasted anywhere in Thailand. Always a little pricey (they do not put prices in the menu, the sign on the wall tells you not to ask the price, and if you do, they don't tell you!). But a wide variety of absolutely wonderful, very fresh ,beautifully prepared dishes.

It has to be Chao Lay on the pier, Best sea food in town in my opinion. Just make sure you book on the weekend as it gets super busy.

If money isn't a problem, the big new seafood restaurant on the left after the flyover is very good indeed.
I think it's called something like Khanam and the quality of the food is excellent. All the seafood we ordered was of the highest standard and obviously cooked from very fresh produce. Also the restaurant itself is very well fitted out and has been equipped with such things as facilities for wheel chairs which is a rare sight in Asia.
And for those who are on the lookout for the quality of the WC's, these are huge and of good five star hotel standards.
