One thing more about the water supply. When installing a booster pump and a tank ensure that the tank is fitted with a flow switch that cuts of the power to the pump should the tank for one reason or another run dry. This will prevent damages to the pump.
If a filtering system is installed then it should be installed on the pressure side of the pump. A good provider of disc filters is the Israeli company Arcan. Disc filters comes for various application sizes and are easy to clean.
power pump for water
Is this the side of the watermeter or the side of the tank/pumt connection? Meanwhile I have read a lot on this site: thaivisa. they have a lot of forums on all kind of topics and also on pumps.stgrhe wrote:One thing more about the water supply. Thanks to all your help, I know by now the best brand for filter discs is Arcan, underground tank should be glasfiber, above ground plastic in landscape design, pumpbrand mitsubishi, 2000 liter the best size, have to build protection against noise and weather, get a timer because running all day means a very high electricity bill. So a lot more! Before I did not know what to. So the costs will be about a total of.....20.000 bht? 30.000?
The best place to go and have it all done....(I will consult Big khian in Hua Hin, they are really nice people though the langauge is a big problem).
On my next visit in September I hope to find it all out, but now I know more or less what I am talking about.

First you will have the meter, then the tank, thereafter the pump followed by any filter and softener system that you might decide to install.hurm wrote: Is this the side of the watermeter or the side of the tank/pumt connection? Although Mitsubishi pumps are not bad but they cannot compare with Danish Grundfos. When selecting the pump you need also talk to someone who knows the business as different pumps are designed for different applications, e.g. a booster pump for city water is not the same type as one would use for well water.hurm wrote: Thanks to all your help, I know by now the best brand for filter discs is Arcan, underground tank should be glasfiber, above ground plastic in landscape design, pumpbrand mitsubishi,
thanks again. I indeed think it is wise that first they (the one who is going to fix it all) have a look at the watermeter and pipes. Do I need a timer with the Grundfoss? well I will see when I am in the shop. Is there an independent shop for pumps and filters in Hua Hin?stgrhe wrote:First you will have the meter, then the tank, thereafter the pump followed by any filter and softener system that you might decide to install.hurm wrote: Is this the side of the watermeter or the side of the tank/pumt connection?
