Tattoo shop please
I am back in HH this September and am thinking of having another tattoo (Mid life crisis!)
Can anyone reccomend a tattoo shop with acceptable standards of hygiene please.
I am staying at Jings...again!
Many thanks.

Tattoo shop please
Can't comment from personal experience Lindsay - although I'm sure there will be a few expats had tats in HH. But the shop near Billys Bar looks clean and has been there for years.
I did ask them several years ago about having colour redone and the cost was pretty high. More than I'd paid for the tat in England, so I didn't bother. But the guy explained that a lot of the cost was due to having to import needles, which was encouraging.

Hi there Mags.
I dont know the calibre of the workmanship or the names of the artist(e)s,but 2 newish shops have appeared in town lately.
One is in the Poolsuk Plaza, and the other recent one to open is on the ground floor of the hotel opp.Celtic/Valentine Bar.
According to the billboardy-thing advertising the Bintabaat shop he's claiming to be using UK/US ink, which from a mate who runs a shop in Yorkshire is a MUST due to Thai ink fading faster than a sick Issarn buffalo that has not yet got the 20,000b innoculation that the farang donated to the lady's family...(or do buffalo eyes always look like that?).

There are 2 tattoo shops behind Sam Sam's. never been to Alex Tattoo, but a few friends have been to the one beside it and are very happy with their service, so i brought a friend there recently and he got his tattoo designed and done on his entire bicep for 4000 baht (just to let you have an idea of the prices). He was very happy and found it cheap in comparison in his home country.
think the name of the owner is tim and jack. Oddly, they open after 6pm daily.

Walk down Poolsuk Road past O'Niells and London Bar....keep walking .....get to end of street where it meets main road.
Opposite corner is a big Tattoo shop with painted windows.
Use that one. They've won awards for their work and tattoo to western standards using western equipment and ink.

Many thanks for your help guys. If I am still feeling brave and have forgotten the pain of my last one, I may get one done this August!

I did my last tattoo at Brazehead that is located in Poolsuk Plaza on Poolsuk Rd.

That's a bit much for sure, and possibly illegal. Is that the tattoo artist doing the surgery or a licensed physician? If the former I believe illegal, not to mention dangerous at least in regards to infection.
I wonder what the substance injected is, botox?
