Does that include the caddy fee?

buksida wrote: Additionally anyone looking to play on decent courses out of town should try Ratchaburi or Kanchanaburi, some fantastic offers on at the moment such as 2 rounds, one night in their hotel and breakfast at Blue Sapphire for 1,500 baht and weekday green fees of 300 baht at Dragon Hills.

I wish Hua Hin's courses would follow suit.
Buksi, Can you direct me to any online info on the 1500 Kanchanaburi deal?

Certainly can:

http://bsgolfclub.com/en/promotoingolf.html

Called them today and the course is unavailable this weekend as they are having a competition so it looks like we wont be playing it after all.

:cuss: I can only play weekends and this was the only one we had babysitters :cuss:

Dragon Hills has a similar deal at 1,400 baht, called Royal Rat and they have nothing on, flat weekend green fee is 1,080. The others are all silly money to play. If anyone knows any other deals please post them here.

Additionally it would be a good reference to have all the actual golf course websites posted here also - any search you do in Google turns up a bunch of spammy golf tour sites when all you want is the actual course. That said most of the real golf course sites are partially functioning and so badly written that you may as well not have bothered!

Below are websites for most of the golf courses in the area:-

Banyan: banyanestatehuahin.com/golf/index.php
Black Mountain: bmghuahin.com
Blue Sapphire: bsgolfclub.com
Dragon Hills: dragonhillsgolf.com
Imperial Lakeview: imperialhotels.com/lakeview/index.html
Palm Hills: palmhills-golf.com
Sawang: sawangresortgolf.com
Springfield: springfieldresort.com/golf/index.php

(Apologies for being unable to provide direct links)

I was unable to locate websites for the following (perhaps someone on the forum can find these websites):-

Kaeng Krachan, Majestic Creek, Milford, Royal Hua Hin, and Royal Ratchaburi

And a couple more:

Kaeng Krachan: www.kaengkrachanresort.com
Milford: www.milford.co.th

Dont think the other two have sites, all that comes up is golf-spam-hua-spam-hin-golfing-spam-club-resort-course-huahin-spam.com

This link was in a full page advert in property market today, part of the Hua Hin Today paper.

Kaeng Krachan - www.kkcgolf.com

Bit of a joke underdevelopment website at the moment. Beats me why these developers don't just put up a holding page until it's complete with some basic info. Hate that much flash on a website!

I need some help. Most of you won't have seen me play (lucky you) but I have a reasonable grasp of the game and played off a 6 handicap when I was a lot younger.
However, the past two times I've been out, including today, I'm thinning the ball off the toe. That's with almost every iron shot I hit - the driver is a separate matter. I've tried standing a bit closer, addressing the ball a bit further back but I'm still getting the same shot.
I'll be playing a decent course over the weekend and will practice on Friday morning.
Where am I going wrong? Any suggestions before Friday morning's practice will be gratefully accepted. (Other than just give up  ).

In my experience if you are really struggling hit about 30 balls with your feet together with an easy swing.
It will improve both rythem and balance which are keys to good golf.

Alternativly you could try going easier on the Changs Thursday :
