Recent break-ins at the Mountain View Vill 2

Thanks, please send me the contact info as soon as you can.
Don’t know why but I like the idea of (real) security guards.
I’m guessing these break-in were through open windows / doors.
Are they targeting farangs only?
My wife’s brother told her the most recent break-in happened while the people were home. And that they took everything. I have a hard time with this one. How much crap could you possibly take with the people home?
Are these opportunists or pro’s?

Hopefully you got my PM.
They are targeting both Farang and Thai whilst people are sleeping and day time when people go out. Most of the break Ins have been residnets leaving windows open and the security bars have been removed.
Local residents are very angry with the current sitaution as you can image. Most of them are keen to implement some security ASAP.
Hopefully the Residnt Co ordinator can keep you posted. If I get any news I will PM you.
Regards

We've talked about this on here before. If the security bars/grill is secured from the outside, you have to destroy the slot for the screw driver or phillips head. Or, put super glue in them. You can remove the super glue with a small flame torch if you ever need to remove the screws. Some installers leave a few screws out about 1/8 inch and bend them with a hammer so they become unremovable.lippy45 wrote: Most of the break Ins have been residnets leaving windows open and the security bars have been removed.
Make things difficult and unusual and they'll go elsewhere. Pete

Dear All,
I would like to make some suggestions to you.
Houses
1. If you can break into your house damn sure someone else will
2. Each owner needs to make additions to locks and doors, bolt locks and one strong main lock
3. Perimeter houses are always the most vulnerable, an alarm is essential to all perimeter houses on the project.
4. If all homeowners are aware of the risks then the ball is in their court, they must do something other than blame a guard company.
Guards
1. All guard companies will be equally as bad at securing the projects.
2. If you employ a guard company it is essential that you purchase technology for record keeping and simply to implement procedures and also to keep them alert and awake. Cheap solutions include watchmens time clocks for patrolling and cameras at gates for record keeping & entry and exit vehicles and people.
Hope this helps

How about electrifying their shoes? When they stay still for more than 5 mins, WAMMO! 5000 volts. Should keep them awake...If you employ a guard company it is essential that you purchase technology for record keeping and simply to implement procedures and also to keep them alert and awake.

Security
Hey Virtual Spark, agree with your comments entirely. We live off a soi near Village Market and the first thing we did was get to know the local neighbors... better than any security system. Nonetheless, we installed a wireless camera system purchased in Australia for around 500 bucks... four perimeter camera's, including one on the soi gate, feed back to computer. All battery, so no problem with power outage. Again, it's quite amazing how many people who come here, tradies, delivery, etc, comment "oh, you have camera", they even pose for a shot!! Best way to get the word around not to bother here... welded grills would be like a prison
