looking for villa, apartment with no steps _wheelchair user

Post by leah100 »

hi guys, this is a great site. Im a wheelchair user and arriving in thailand 22 nov for 90days. Im coming down to Hua Hin Jan 10 and have booked into the
Napalai hotel as it has wheelchair access, however i dont want a hotel for a month so desperatly looking for villa apartment with no steps in or around the accomodation. I dont need a purpose built wheelchair place! any ideas? Also are there car / van rental that might have an adapted van with a ramp avaliable? :) :thumb: [/b]

Unfortunately, I think you'll have a problem finding an adapted van anywhere in Thailand - let alone Hua Hin.

Your best bet would be to find a good reliable taxi driver who could be your 'personal' driver when you want to travel around. You could negotiate a discounted rate for your 90 day trip.

Good luck.

Leah100, I would stick with the one from BKK, but just make sure that they can provide any assistance that you need of anything fails on it while you have it.

Hi Leah

I know someone who rents a wheelchair friendly villa but not sure if they will do it for just a month. Comes with a maid/helper if you need it. pm me your contact details and I'll ask them to call you.

Hi Leah

You said you don't need a purpose built place but I take it you aren't ruling one out either, just expanding the possibilities.

I know someone who rents a wheelchair friendly villa with an adapted pool but not sure if they will do it for just a month. Comes with a maid/helper if you need it. Transport-wise they seem to do just fine with the larger Tuk-Tuks which are big enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

pm me your contact details and I'll ask them to call you.
