Hi Willow welcome aboard

what is the dance scene in this area?
none existant!

a short reply but true Hua Hin suffers at the powers of the hilton hotel which holds all the cards when it comes to the night life unfortunatly its a
venue which lacks any style ,any music ,any thing at all
before i start to ramble on about how bad it is i will stop right there

bring your mp3 player and go to the beach !
or sample some of the more down to earth no hassel bars with pc juke boxes and dance on the tables for all to see

The only way I can ever really dance is if I have a few beers under my belt. I suggest you do the same.

Of course, if you are planning a long term stay in Thailand, you may be able to organize something. If you do, let me know (and bring alcohol). :)

Im coming to HuaHin in about 10 days..
Yea at the Hin Nam Sai Suay is a Discotheque,..

there are 2-3 more Discotheque, you just gotta find them.
The problem is, there are mostly only Thai's in it, and they don't like Farangs!

But Hin Nam Sai Suay you can go visit, nice Club, i like it ;)
Others are StepZ at the Grand Plaza ;)

Jimiherf I tink what ThaiStyle is saying is that HNSS is more farang friendly than the other ones mentioned. The girl that invited me to go there (when I arrive in Dec.) would not take me anywhere she thought that farang would not be welcome... but like I mentioned in "the drums" thread, I'd rather head out to HNSS without the 'TBI' finding out

jimmy Jan 2004 I went to route 66 dance pub
http://www.route66dancepub.com/&web/mul ... photo.html
It is a huge place, probably holds 1000 - 1500 people when full, typical buy a bottle and they keep your glass full for the rest of the night thing. Hundreds of hot chicks in the place, not many farang, maybe 20 out of 600 people on the Tuesday night I was there. No hassle from the Thais even thouh I was there with 5 Thai girls! There is a dance floor and DJ with live bands on weekends I believe. Looks like they are mostly hip hop format now.... There are roving video camera men shooting the girls dancing, and it gets put up live on a huge screen, as well as all the TV monitors in the place. If you pm me your e-mail,I'll send you a couple of pictures of the place, There a 5 or 6 more huge dance spots on that street (Royal City Avenue) to check out as well. You should try it!
 8)

Every Thursday, starting at 9 p.m. there's a Nordic Ballroom dance night at Grand Sport, in front of the Grand Hotel. Mainly Finnish and Swedish people attend it at the moment but everybody is welcome. You can take your own music there as well, if there's a special kind of dance you like to do.
