A man is sitting in a pub with his Jack Russell dog one Saturday afternoon. The football results are coming up on the television in the corner, "Liverpool 2, Tottenham Hotspur 1," reads the announcer in his normal, rather sedate, voice.

Suddenly the Jack Russell dog jumps up and shouts out, "Oh, no, not again."

The shocked landlord says, "That's amazing. Why did he say that when the result was announced that Tottenham lost?"

"Because he's a Spurs supporter," the dog's owner replies.

The landlord then asked what the dog says when Tottenham win a match, to which the man replied, "I don't know. I've only had him 5 years."

my tips for the drop
stoke
fulham
bolton

not spurs, i just can not see it. when they start winning, and they will, they will be beating nearly everyone. expect a slightly higher than mid table finish.
for the title. have to say chelsea. who can stop them. good luck to hull, what a start.

Well Spurs will have to get 3 points this weekend because following that they've got a lovely run of fixtures, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.

i just can not see them going down. they could beat arsenal, hull did. when the confidence returns just watch them go.
mind you, i could be wrong.

Clubs like Spurs with big squads and finances to buy in the January transfer window rarely go down. December/January onwards is when the smaller squad teams start dropping points.
Spurs are rank cack at the moment but won't go down.

It could easily happen to Spurs. How long will the board let it go on. If they sack Ramos, who do they get and what turmoil could follow??? If i was a betting man i'd bet on Stoke, Fulham and Bolton too. Bora will struggle and my team N'cle won't do much better

I think Spurs will go as no-one will want to join them in January.

Their keeper is shite and I can't imagine he'll play at the weekend.

It say's something when a player like Bentley, a potential successor to goldenballs, moves from a drab NW team to the glamour(?) of Spurs and first drops out of the England scene, and now seemingly out of the Spurs scene as well?

But I'm a True Blue, so I may not be quite neutral?

Agree about the keeper, but players always come to clubs paying the wages.

"It say's something when a player like Bentley, a potential successor to goldenballs" - not in my mind.

I'm not actually. He was great at Arsenal and England U21's, then brave enough to ply his trade at Blackburn and England U21's/full squad. Now he's at Spurs.

'Nuff said?

I think that at the time Bentley pulled out of the England U21's he really showed promise & "looked" like he "could" replace golden balls in the future. Sadly instead of his career kicking on after joining Spurs he must be one of their best paid part time footballers

what did he do at arsenal? wenger got rid of him :?
he's a decent player but thinks he's better than he actually is :D
good delivery, but no pace, which in the prem these days is a handicap unless you are exceptionally talented.

He is. Should have stayed at Blackburn.

Wenger didn't want him to leave the Arse.

I'm with RZR on the Bentley debate, as for Spurs, Spineless in more ways than one.
