Well, so far Moja is way out in front with 72 with the distant second in the high 50's if I didn't miss any.

Looks like the rest of us have some traveling to do!

But, as I suspected, this crowd is very well traveled in general.

Glad that's cleared up. I based an assumption that the because duty free allowance was different in the Canary's (1995) from the EU and so was Gibraltar and the Channel Islands that they were of a similar status.

So that knocks off 1 but someone has reminded me of Checkpoint Charlie which I had forgotten. So total still the same. It's just that I don't know what it is.

Am I the only one who doesn't know where he's been?

This Channel Islands thing, the UK or GB has two descriptions,
Great Britain (including Channel Islands) and Northern Island or
United Kingdom(including N.I.) and the Channel Islands.
I believe they still have their own parliaments so I suppose they can count as separate countries

Except that there are many more countries that refuse entrance.

Before this thread dies of natural cause can we sidestep a little.

Out of the countries you have not visited yet, what are the top five on your list of priorities.

Mine are:

New Zealand for the scenery and to check out a couple of mates.

Papua New Guinea for the wild life (including the human species).

Peru, Scenery & visiting relatives.

Australia for the barrier reef and to check out friends and relatives.

China (not Macau or Hong Kong) but including Tibet for scenery and food.

The most civilised of the central African countries whatever that may be.

Ecuador (Galapagos Islands)
Ireland (Been to England and Scotland, but somehow missed Ireland)
China
Sweden (Only got as far north in Europe as Denmark)

The country I would most like to visit and haven't yet is Japan, to be more precise Tokyo.

From a photographers (amateur) point of view it would im sure be a feast on the eyes, also the people are as mad as worms with a culture all of their own.

Having done the Transiberian express I would also like to travel across India aboard their equivilent.

I live in hope...

Randy,
I've done a good part of India by train. Great experience.
The most memorable journey was from Srinegar in Kashmir (the train starts further down the mountains in Jammu), down through Delhi and over to Calcutta. Took me 5 days as I got all my connections wrong.
