Re: Divorce Lawyer

If the parting of the ways is amicable, a lawyer is unnecessary. Both parties go to the local authority office and sign off.

Re: Palm Hills Juristic Person (Moo Baan)

The Palm Hills residences and Palm Hills condos are separate entities.

Only the Palm Hills condos is a registered juristic entity. You can find their contact details here http://www.palmhillscondos.com/about-us-contacts/

I hope this helps.

Re: Thai Wife's UK Visa Application Refused.

My only suggestion is to apply for a multi-entry visitor visa which demonstrates she intends to leave and prevents jumping through the same hoops each time she wants to go to the UK.

[quote="Big Boy" I am really at a loss regarding how to prove I'm not a liar.

If you call HMRC help line, give them your NI number and ask them to send you a copy of your online personal tax statement on headed paper, they will. Thats what I did.

Is this a case of one person making up her own interpretation as so often happens here?
Don't think so. Certification or notorisation is often a requirement to prove a document or signature is genuine.

Re: Tax residency in Thailand and taxing overseas income

Big Boy I see you mentioned a P60. Could you tell me how I can get one from the UK? I haven't been there in over 20 years but kept up my NI payments for my pension which I am now receiving. When you went to the Thai tax office did the lady say that the P60 (or similar form) was required or would tr...

Anything transferred to Thailand after 1/1/24 is assessable.
Unless it is exempt?

Re: Junior Football

The academy that train on the pitches next to True Area are very popular. Drive past the entrance to True going south, over the roundabout and the entrance to the pitches is signposted on the right. Just go along and speak to coach Fareed. I'm not sure of days and times for a 9 year old but my 13 ye...

Re: Communal costs for rental on development?

When renting in a development, the rental agreement should say the rent is all inclusive of all common maintenance and service charges and those private maintenance and services specified in the rental agreement. I hope this helps.

Re: Tax residency in Thailand and taxing overseas income

I see on the CRS form that it's asked whether I'm a resident for tax purposes in another country which I am - UK. Are you sure? In the UK, your tax residency status will depend on a statutory residence test. You’ll usually be regarded as a UK resident if: • You spend more than 183 days in the UK wi...

Re: Tax residency in Thailand and taxing overseas income

Thailand Privilege membership holders are exempt from paying personal income tax in Thailand if they remit funds from a personal bank account abroad into a local bank account in Thailand and can provide proof that the money is not personal income in the same calendar year. Doesn't that apply to eve...

Big Boy wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 8:38 pm The road trip from Luang Prabang to Huay Xai is 475Km and would take at least 11 hours. Chiang Rai is only 1/5th of the distance.
If you are not in a rush there is a ferry from Huay Xai to Luang Prabang
