Baan Chalelarn Hotel on Chomsin looked nice and had rooms for 1,000 per night incl American B/F. Chalelarn has nice rooms and a great pool overlooking the town but they cut the electric to my room because I was 1 hour late to checkout, the hotel was not even full. Always use ThaiRentacar. They are reliable and use good new cars. They have a depot by the airport and their own web site. I also recommend Thairentacar, I have used them several times with no problems. I don't recommend using budget, they were very fussy about damage (which wasn't even from me) an...

My first trip was during Songkran 2007, it was lovely to get away from the madness elsewhere at that time. Stayed at the Anantasila on Takiab beach and had a great time. Been back about a dozen times since then.

Also, seems strange that it is recommended on several hua hin guide websites? Do businesses have to pay to get put on such sites, even though they try to put themselves across as a "guide"?

I ate here today, very overpriced at 250 bht per dish for the quality and quantity received. Will not be going back.

Lets Sea is a nice boutique resort. Much smaller than the big name hotels but it has a nice feel to it, perfect for a romantic weekend away etc..
