Re: Royal Pavilion & Colonnade Hotel's
Can't comment about the Royal Pavillion but I've stayed at the Collonade a couple of times and highly recommend it. Location is excellent for everything - you have the old shopping mall on your doorstep and can be in both bar areas (Bintabaht or Soi 80) within five mins. Beach road is just across fr...

Recent info re the minibus. The cost is still 200 baht and they still drop off at the Century Cinema Mall, which is directly under the Victory Monument BTS station. You can access the station via the stairs that are literally five metres from the drop off point, or directly through the mall. From Vi...

Hi Johnny, I've ridden a mountain bike around Hua Hin every day for the last three years and agree with Randy and Twiggy's advice. IMO the drivers here are much more tolerant of cyclists than they are in the UK for example - they do give way here and I've never had any kind of problem with vehicles....

In Scotland we used to call them Hamiltons, after the football team. Difference was, half the time the people this was directed at came from nowhere near Pakistan - our local corner shop was run by Egyptians but was universally known as 'the Paki's'. A lot of people, myself included, knew their orig...

Heebio The German bakery near all in Hua Hin does a good crusty roll of a morning .Soft rolls I have not yet found any good ones . Crazy 88 Hi Crazy, Yeah, I know the rolls you're talking about and they're alright for what they are. But....as you say, they're not the soft type of roll/bap I'm looki...

Hi Babylon, Yeah, I've tried the Tesco rolls - unfortunately they fall firmly in the 'appalling efforts' category. I think you have to have been brought up in the UK (I'm from Scotland) to fully appreciate the type of roll/bap I'm talking about. They are very basic and cost next to nothing to produc...

Hi Don, I also live in soi 102 and if you are planning to locate where I think you are meaning, there will be absolutely no problem with the road/access etc. Do you mean the partially completed row of townhouses just over the rail tracks on the right hand side? One question for you. As your wife is ...

@ Caller Agreed, it was all there....hence the lack of response. You can't argue with the facts. Murf has overheads the same as his competitors, but from a conumser's point of view, at least he's transparent. Don't tell me I'm the only one that's totally bewildered by the total lack of response and ...

All sponsors excepted but......1000% have to agree. How can a consumer make a choice without a comparison. A certain Irish guy posted his full menu, including price, and there not been one response....huh? The competitor posts his menu not once but twice, and completely ignores posts asking for the ...

Mr P and Richard....I agree with both of you, it's a very grey area and IMO is very much about indvidual tastes and perspectives. Take music as an analogy - some people think artists like Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and even The Smiths are completely depressing. Others, myself included, chuckle at thes...

Re: Are You an Optimist or Pessimist?
'The optimist is right. The pessimist is right. The one differs from the other as the light from the dark. Yet both are right. Each is right from their own particular point of view, and this point of view is the determining factor in the life of each. It determines as to whether it is a life of pow...
