Hello all, I must first say how thankful I am to you all for the advice you have given me. I contacted a taxi firm I was recommended by Big Boy and they said I can have a "big taxi" with aircon for 2200 baht. I think this is very reasonable considering i made it clear there were 4 of us wi...

Help! No AC trains between Bangkok and HH .. Need a taxi!

Hi all, We are staying in Bangkok until tomorrow, at the Buddy Lodge on Khaosan Rd. We did plan to get a air conditioned train from Bangkok station directly to Hua Hin - however I went to buy tickets at the station yesterday and was told that there are no air conditioned trains running until the 1st...

Hi Norseman, Maybe i should have been clearer - i'm looking to do some sea fishing not as part of a tour but just hire a small boat that I and my friend can hire, go out and try and get a catch. I am ideally looking for sea boat hire / equipment hire. That first link seems to be in a lake/river area...

Boat and fishing equipment hire

Hello all Expats! I am travelling to Hua Hin this weekend (arrive monday) and would like to know if it's possible to hire a boat and fishing equipment anywhere in HH? I think the boat would need some sort of shaded area. If anyone can give any advice or recommendations on where to hire and where to ...

Shade on the beach?

My partner is pretty pale and burns really easily. She is concerned that there is limited / no shade on the beach itself.

I've told her this isn't true, but i'm yet to confirm this.

Can anyone throw any light my way?

Thanks!

OK thats good to know. I wanted an air conditioned room on Big Bay, and apparently its 6900 baht per person for a 2 night 3 day trip, with transport from HH and full board.

So it doesn't sound like i've been quoted too high.

I still plan to go through Rob instead though!

Thanks for all the replies!

May I just ask if you are aware of the difference between the different types of villas?

Also, how much did you pay? Was it full board?

Thanks in advance guys!

Information on Koh Talu Beach Resort

Hi all, I am travelling with 3 friends to Hua Hin at Easter 2008 (20th March - 6th April) and we've decided we'd like to take a 2 night 3 day trip down to Koh Talu. Now, from what i've gathered, it's better to visit the island midweek as it is less busy. I have seen the website where you can book ac...
